Certified Level 1 Arboretum

In September 2025, the Nashville Farmers’ Market was officially designated as a Certified Level 1 Arboretum by the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council!

This recognition highlights our commitment to cultivating green spaces in the heart of downtown Nashville. Across our market campus, you’ll find a variety of thoughtfully planted and labeled trees that provide shade, beauty, and education for our community. Each tree species is identified with signage to help visitors learn more about Tennessee’s rich natural heritage.

As a Level 1 Arboretum, the market joins a statewide network of public spaces dedicated to urban forestry and environmental stewardship. We invite you to take a stroll through the market grounds, discover the diversity of trees we host, and experience how green spaces connect with food, community, and sustainability.
