NFM named Best Farmers Market

Last night the Nashville Farmers’ Market was named Best Farmers Market by Nashville Scene. The award was the result of a Scene readers’ poll that also handed Richland Park Farmers Market the runner-up spot while 12 South Farmers Market earned third place.

“Our warmest thanks to all of our supporters who voted for us this year,” says Tasha Kennard, executive director of NFM. “This has been our best year ever, and we can’t wait to show y’all what we have in store for 2019.”

Best of Nashville is an annual Scene feature. “Every year, we at the Nashville Scene ask you, our readers, what you love about our city,” states the publication’s site. “And every year you tell us about your favorite restaurants and parks, people and bands, museums and artists.”

In appreciation, NFM staffers handed out apples and totes to attendees at last night’s Best of Nashville celebration at War Memorial Auditorium in downtown Nashville.

“It was a great event and people seemed genuinely excited to stop by for an apple and a chat,” says Kennard. “But most importantly,” she adds, “please continue to support your local farmers market wherever you are.”
