Celebrate the start of peak season on Saturday, May 5
The Nashville Farmers' Market will host the 4th Annual Strawberry Jubilee on Saturday, May 5 from 10 am - 4 pm. Over 8,000 quarts of fresh, local strawberries will arrive at the Market to celebrate the start of peak season. In addition, the Market will welcome more than 100 vendors including seasonal produce, beef, lamb, pork, chicken, Alaskan salmon, baked goods, food artisans, food trucks, and handmade, international and vintage goods. Live music, sponsored by the Friends of the Nashville Farmers' Market, will begin at 10 am at the Gardens of Babylon stage. In addition, Chef Crystal Bogan will provide a cooking demonstration in the Farm Shed Market Kitchen at 11 am. The annual strawberry cake contest will begin at 12:30 pm (entries accepted 12 - 12:30 pm; advance registration not required) and the kids (12 and under) strawberry eating contest will take place at 1 pm. Free strawberry samples while supplies last, kids activities and fun for the whole family! Leashed pets are permitted. Overflow parking available in area state lots.
